Hi All,

I want to create a script to attach to a button that when pressed will go to a layout in another filmaker file. I have read that it is not necessary in recent versions of filemaker as you can have muliple tables in one file, but I am stuck with FM5.5 for the moment.

In version 5, you need to set up a script in both files.

In the file you want to go to the layout in, create a script using the "Go To Layout" Script Step.

In the File you want access if from, create a script and use the "Perform Script"

In the lower right had corner, select "External", and you will get a dialog box that asked you to "Open File" and then "Select Script"
