Dr. Evil Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 What is the symbol for a "tab" I know the paragraph symbol is "¶" Is there one for a "TAB"?? What I am attempting to do is create a calculation field that combines a number of other fields for a generated description. The reason I am doing this is to save space on the print layout, sense some fields will be empty. I want to format the information so it looks kinda like this: LABLE: Field information/description here, and so on Field information/description here, and so on LABEL: Field information/description here, and so on
comment Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 There's no symbol. Type option-tab into a text field, select it and copy. Go into Define.. and paste it into your formula (inside quotes, of course).
Dr. Evil Posted August 16, 2006 Author Posted August 16, 2006 GREAT!!! Works like a charm, thank you for the great tip!
Newbies Didier Daglinckx Posted August 16, 2006 Newbies Posted August 16, 2006 You can also put it in a field for later use in other calculation.
comment Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 You can also put the character "a" in a field for later use in other calculation. What's the point? It's just another character.
