bdonelson Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hello, I am redesign a database, and I would appreciate any advice on these relationships. I have started to connect the tables, but I have run into same issue I am redesign because of to begin with. As you can see in the attached screenshot, I have the "Stocks" & "Options" tables connected to the "Investments" table. I am attempting to use this "Investments" table to bridge the connection to the "Orders" table. I am the right track, or is there an easier way? Thanks, Bill
bdonelson Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 More information on what I am attempting to do. The problem being how do I lookup information on either table "Stocks" or "Options" in relation to "Orders". Originally, I had these two tables as one, and of course the lookup was easy. But, I had a number of other relationship issues.
bdonelson Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 That was a lot easier than I thought. All I had to do was use a calculated value instead of a lookup value.
