I have a global container field with images in it, it has 10 repetitions.

I have a non-global container field with 10 repetitions.

I would like to create a new record and have an auto entry calculation that populates the non-global repetitions from the global repetitions but can not seem to get this to work.

have tried:

getrepetition ( globalfield ; calculationrepetitionnumber )

Had this problem in v6 to any ideas?

It will work if you switch to a lookup instead.

Many thanks a self related Lookup did the job ... i really appreciate that...

Still don't quite understand the mechanism that prevents a calculation from working ... in theory it should be fine ... shouldn't it?
