Sames versions of Explorer gives different results...

Featured Replies

Hello,

Did you ever experienced different behaviors between two computers that have the same version of Explorer when processing filemaker xml data transformed with xslt stylesheets by the browser?

In the majority of the cases everything goes well but for some explorer programs it's like they recieve xml with no data. And Firefox works like a charm in thoses situations so it's not a firewall problem or a configuration of the computer...

Strange.

Thanks.

I do answer my own question for the benefice of all. The solution is to use the server-side option of the web publishing engine (WPE) that will process correct html pages before sending them to the browsers.

I did not do that before because i was thinking that it did not work. But after i used the site assistant that come with FileMaker server advance cd, i realised that the installation of the WPE was not the problem. Finaly, i found after a while that i was not using the right way to call server-side pages...

In conclusion, use the site assistant to see how everything works in the server-side world of the WPE!

Thank's to "Homer", a member of the french user group www.fmsource.com that help me step by step to the conclusion of the site assistant.
