I had a single table database with 19 fields and 26 records.

I added a new table with 1 field and 6 records and selected 1 set of related fields.

When I click OK and go back to the display, only the new table layout displays records information; the original layout records all say “table missing.” What am I doing wrong?

Both tables appear in the tables window.

A bit hard to tell from your post, but all layouts must be based on a table occurence (TO). In Layout Mode, check Layout Setup and confirm that the layout is using the desired TO. Then, recheck that the fields on the layout are from the current table.

Thanks, bcooney.

Just now, in the layout setup dialog, General tab, "Show Records from:" indicated "" for all layouts in both the original table and the new one.

I selected from the drop down menu the correct table for each layout and pressed enter.

All of the fields in all of the layouts in the original table still show

Now, double click on each field and make sure that they are from the current table. Or, delete all fields (if it's easier) and create them again with the field tool (which defaults to adding fields from the current table).
