Password Protected Layout not working too well

Featured Replies

I have created two scripts.

1) a script that is called up from a contact layout in one table is suppose to prompt a user for a password and if he/she enters the right one, they go to a layout on another table. But the script appears to be looping despite entering the correct password during tests.

2) Within the same script, once they enter the right password and the restricted layout is displayed, the matching/related record is suppose to be displayed showing existing data or a new one created to enter new data if an existing record is not found. But that is not working either. I uploaded some attachments for all to see and hopefully assist me in troubleshooting this problem.

The First, middle, names are suppose to be looked up from the main contact table (wps_contacts) but that is obviously not working. Also, my password field is a global field.

NOTE: I know that this method is not the most secure but for what I need it for, it will do for now.

Are you sure that a return isn't being entered in the field? Why not use a custom dialog?
