Date Find from lookup?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

Confused on a date find request. 2 tables; Quote and QuoteItem. I have a date field in the quote table to reference the quote date. Then in my QuoteItem Table I have a date/calculation field - If( Quote::QuoteID = QuoteID ; Lookup (Quote::Date) ). This does put the date in the right place. But now I want to start making some reports, it won't let me "find" and of the dates from the QuoteItem Table? I have other lookups that let me do searches and find what I need? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

... it won't let me "find" and of the dates from the QuoteItem Table....

Just a thought, but when you're in Find mode, are you able to enter your cursor into the date field?

If not, go into Layout mode and click once on the uncooperative field. From the Format menu, select Field/Control >> Behavior. (You can also reach this option by right-clicking on the field.)

In the dialog box that follows, activate the "Allow field to be entered ... in Find mode."

Let us know if this solved the problem or whether it's something different.

I checked the behavior but that was ok. I did "solve" it. I don't know exactly why it wasn't working, but it is now. Just some glitch or something. Thanks for the help.
