Jalz Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Hi Guys, Ive got a bizarre thing happening here: I have four files, and I've tried hosting them on my server. 2 out of the 4 files seem to open (i.e hosted), the other two are closed. Whatever I do, I can't seem to turn them on. I've checked the usual suspects, i.e made sure the files are network [on], and cant seem to work out why the other two aren't hosted. My logs folder is empty so I'm not certain how to switch log control on. Any suggestions would be as always much appreciated, Im working on Server Advanced 8.0v4 and I've set minimum files to 5.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 The files have probably failed their consistency check. Stop the services completely. Open the two files in FMP 8.0v3 or 8.5v1. Save a copy as compacted and try hosting the copy instead of the original. HTH Steven
Jalz Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 Thanks Steven That seems to have solved the problem. I don't remember the system crashing my files - I've been as careful as possible during this development; (I do switch development platforms alot though XP/OSX). So should I be worried about the structure of these files? Incidently, both of these files didnt contain data as one was the interface file, and the other was the reports file.
