September 9, 200619 yr Newbies Hi people, 3 days ago I started learning FMP, so if this question seems a drab, then 'xcuse me. I want to create a hybrid view; form and a list on one layout. Portal seems perfect, but the problem is, it "wants" to show data from related tables only, not the same table. How is this layout can be achieved? Thank you.
September 9, 200619 yr You can create a relationship to the same table, by putting another occurence of the table on the graph and linking the two. But your wish can be achieved much more simply by putting the 'form' in the header part of a list view.
September 10, 200619 yr Author Newbies I agree too! LOL!! It works, thanks to your help. In several days I've been able to create something that would take weeks to make using traditional programming. My impression is; Filemaker is surely powerful for common database applications, but it is not solid as I had hoped. There are small kinks, that need ironing out.
