In FMP 8.5 does using a portal still lock (flag as in use) the current record and therefore keep other users from accessing the same portal?

Edit: Clarification

If 2 users are on the same record of a shared database and one user accesses a portal (activates the portal by scrolling or clicking into the portal), does it keep the other user from accessing the same portal with the new version of FMP 8.5?

I know this is the case with earlier versions of FMP, I'm just wondering if this is still a limitation in v8.5 of Filemaker

Nope, records are now locked only when data is modified.
