merrickmgt Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Is it possible to transfer FM 7 records to mac address book? Thanks
Lee Smith Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 In a word - Yes. Take a look at http://www.seedcode.com/ go to the Download area (you will have to register) go down the page to Utilities. HTH Lee
merrickmgt Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 Thanks so much Lee. However I was hoping for a solution that didn't involve any 3rd party software. I just realized that Address Book 3, which is the version I have, doesn't accept anything except VCards or LDIF files...
Ender Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Bummer. Maybe it's time to upgrade your OS? Address Book 4.0 can import text files.
merrickmgt Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 Hi Ender, That is what I will do. It is complex though, as I am getting a new intel Mac which will have Address Book 4. However the FM 7 and Address Book 3 are on my G4 running Panther. So I have to find a way to get the FM records into my AB 3 so the migration assistant will pull the AB 3 to my new AB 4 on the new machine :qwery: a bit easier said than done for me!
merrickmgt Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 Thanks, but I am perplexed as to how to use it. I have never done scripting before...
