Is there any way to retrieve the computer name in filemaker? I'm speaking of Windows but maybe some mac ideas would work too..

Get(Hostname) will do it if your file is local.

with the web viewer you can now also relatively get it by asking the OS (command line to output it to a text file and using a web viewer to show that text file and use the new getObject... functions to scrape it)
