Automatically Performing Scripts based on Input?

Featured Replies

We have several Databases, (Orders, Contracts, Engineering Tickets, Contacts, Quotes)

We have buttons on the main screens for every database layed out. The problem is, There are too many buttons, valuable space is wasted on these buttons

Currently, I have removed some buttons for performing finds. And created a field, that the user selects a drop down of what they want to find, and press "Find"

Issue is, thats an extra step i do not want for these main database buttons.

I want to know if I can create a popup field. that when the user selects the name of the database, a script running in the background will perform the selection.

Without the user pressing a button to execute the script (trying to cut out a step here so my bosses are happy and i can clean up the look of these screens that are already cluttered with buttons!)
