Hi,

In addition to our schedule backup, we use to do do another backup from a workstation by copying the files from the server's shared folder into the workstation's hdd without issue.

We needed to reinstall FMS5.5 for some reason. Now we are are getting this error when we do backup from the workstation: "The process can't access the file because another process has locked a portion of a file." Note that there is no active user(s) during the backup. Please help.

Thanks in advance,

Garry

Yikes... bad news. You're trying to copy the *live* files and that is going to cause corruption in your files in the long run. Don't try to move or copy the live files. Have FMS make a backup and then copy those backed-up files.
