jcc31 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 What would be a good image format that I can use with a contianer field. I want a small image in size but yet I would like to see a good quality image. I'll have hundreds of images for inventory reasons. I'll be using my laptop that has a 40GB drive.
comment Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Not really a Filemaker question - Filemaker doesn't care much what you put in a container field. Anyway, if your images are photos of real things (as opposed to computer-generated graphics), then use the .jpg format. The quality of the image depends on the settings you apply during conversion - and conversely, so does the size of the file.
Stuart Taylor Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Hi Comment ... i think judging by jcc31 profile he is using v6 so this could be an issue as the file size limit is 2gb Before continuing... jcc31 are you using version 6 or 7 and above there is a huge difference and i would advise upgrading now before continuing your project as the life expectency for 6 is growing shorter by the operating system release.
