Without using a plug-in, is there a way to activate a TWAIN scanner from within FM (through VBS perhaps)? I do see a plug-in at http://www.powersolutions.it/en/insidescan.html but can't tell much about it from that page. Plus, it doesn't appear to have been updated in a while. If there's a better plug-in, I'd be open to it as a second choice.

I'm sure it can be done but I'm also pretty sure it will need some TWAIN activeX componenent that you'll have to have the VBscript talk to. Your appliance may or may not have installed such a thing so that's the first thing to find out. If not, then you'll need to find one.

Thanks, Wim. I was hoping that there was something native in XP that I could reference regardless of whatever kind of TWAIN scanner might be installed. I'll keep digging and come back here if I find out anything else.
