Are you reffering to tables? Layouts don't store data...

Don't remove your post just try and clearify it with us.

This is a forum for all levels ... when i first hit this site i had never met anyone else who had worked with filemaker (actually after 5 years i only did 3 weeks ago) so how can one expect to know/understand the terminology.

Re submit your post ... and as you learn take the digs with a giggle... you never know you may be digging Genx in the ribs a couple of years down the line. hehe

No no no, I didn't mean anything like that. Please don't withdraw the question we're here to help. It's just that if it's extremely vague, it's difficult for us to know exactly what you want. Is there anyway you can post a sample file?
