bdonelson Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 (edited) Someone has probably asked, but I couldn't find anything. So anyway. I have used the setting "do not print selected objects", but now I have some layout where the fields do not print. The appear fine in browse, but not in preview. It sounds like "do not print selected objects" is set for these objects, but it is not. Has anyone had this problem? Edited November 28, 2006 by Guest Typo
Oldfogey Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Can you be a bit more specific about what's on your layout? I have had printing trouble caused by the presence of non-printing objects on a layout. The 'trouble' is stuff not printing but not individual fields.
bdonelson Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 Sorry, about the clarity of my message. I have attached two example screenshots. In the first one, the fields in yellow font, and the text for the two yellow buttons. On the second, the table outlined in the red box is a portal. Neither will display in preview mode. Neither have the "Do not print the selected objects." setting selected, which is what I understand is the way set this option. Thanks, Bill
Lee Smith Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 This sounds like it might be a corrupt file, or system problem. Have you tried to print this using a different computer or platform? Were these files migrated from an earlier version? Have these files ever been closed by a system crash, power failure, etc. Could your system need to be upgrade in some way? HTH Lee
bdonelson Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 Actually, "Screen 1" works on my system, but not on the customers. "Screen 2" does not work on mine, and I have not tried the customers. This project was originally started in version 5.5, then 7.0 & 8.0, and recently upgraded to ver 8.5 Advanced. If it is corrupted because of the upgrade, what options do I have to fix it? Thanks, Bill
