Newbies Tony Thomas Posted December 5, 2006 Newbies Posted December 5, 2006 Hi Everyone, I'm trying to concatenate a string of text using a calculation, but I can't figure out how to get Filemaker to insert a tab character. In PHP I can just do "t", but that doesn't work here. What do I do? Thanks, Tony
Orlando Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 The best way to do this is to create a tab inside quotations, either by holding Control + Tab or by copying a tab from a text editor and pasting in into quotations. I hope this helps
Lee Smith Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 You can also type the Key Combination of [color:blue]Option + Tab and it should insert a tab. Lee
Newbies Tony Thomas Posted December 5, 2006 Author Newbies Posted December 5, 2006 For some reason, option-tab doesn't work in this situation. Copying and pasting a tab character from Word did have the desired effect though. Thanks.
