A general layout with all the tables of the database

Featured Replies

If someone can help to find a respectable solution to this problem:

I have some groups of costumers, for example costumers from five different countries. The costumers have orders all the year. And the orders have of course prices.

I want to show in the same layout:

For a specific period, for example 1-9-2006 until 12-12-2006

By a specific group of costumers.

All the costumers, all the orders companied and all the prices of the orders. Without some fields repeated again and again.

A general layout for all the tables I have.

Use a sub-summary report based in the most granular table, either your Orders or Line Items table. You can Find for Orders in that Date range with Customers in a specified Group, and sub-summarize by Group, then by Customer, then by Order or whatever.

Thank you for your response,

I will test it and I will be back. As I understand Sub-summaries are the basic concept Key in File maker Pro to create any layout. However some elements need more complicated layout than Filemaker can do or I do not know still what Filemaker can do...
