html pages seem locked while uploading

Featured Replies

When I try to upload a modified html page to the Web folder of my Filemaker Pro 5 Unlimited server (Windows 2000), the files seem locked.

The only way to upload the files is to stop filemaker, upload te files and start filemaker again...

Is this normal? Or is there another way to upload the files without problems? crazy.gif" border="0

Small tip: the default page (default, index whatever your preference is) is locked after first communication between WC and FM triggered by first visitor. Use this page only as "redirecting" (META in head) to other pages, so you don't have to change it.

If you cannot delete or overwrite other pages, it is W2000. All the above works perfectly with NT4 server.

Apparently that counts for all index.html's in the Web folder, since the one i'm trying to upload is in a subdirectory within the Web folder.. tongue.gif" border="0

Yeah. All subdirs are the same for WebCompanion point of view. As any web server.

But my workaround is working for 100% smile.gif" border="0

Cool, I'll rename all the index.html's with default.html's and create new index.html's with a refresh script.
