Undesireable results with Ctrl + F (revised)

I created a database where I have several layouts that are based on a single field whether or not an item has shipped. I have four buttons at the top, one revealing all fields, one revealing orders that have not shipped, and one button which reveals shipped orders.

I press the button that shows orders that have not shipped and then try to press Ctrl + F to reveal a specific showroom (and thereby omit all the other showrooms) but my operator field for whether the order has shipped or not does not remain. It instead shows all orders, shipped or not. I want to use Ctrl + F to find orders that have not shipped and are based on what I enter when I am in find mode.

Is my design a bust or is there something I can do?

REVISED

I am adding a database with names removed and just a few records (I am interested in sorting showrooms by shipped or not).

A Ctrl-F will do a new find. A Ctrl-R will modify your last find.

Either you can have your users use Ctrl-R, or get FM Advanced and create a custom menu that overrides the Ctrl-F being attached to the Find command.
