I'm not sure if this is the best forum for this question and my question may sound dumb but here goes...

I want to have two arrow buttons (one for back and one for forwards) on a layout that allow the user to flip through the records in a file while in browse mode. I didn't see a function for this in the button setup dialog box.

Take a look at the script step Go to Record/Request/Page, you can modify it to go to next and previous.

Open the Online Help with Filemaker open and search for[color:blue]

Script steps reference (alphabetical list) > Navigation script steps > Go to Record/Request/Page script

Basically, you will need to get your graphics of the arrow you want to use, and then attach the appropriate modified script.
