Denying access to "Delete all records"

Featured Replies

Want users to be able to delete current records or all found records, but no need to ever have access to delete all records. Did know if there was a way to calc the access under limited delete?

Not right off the top of my head, at least in a reliable way. But you can remove the Delete All Records item from the menu as a possible workaround. However, the issue of what happens when the current found set is the same as all records must be addressed.

Where can you remove it from the menu? I can see toggle toolbar, but it doesn't do it. Checked Info, does not show "Custom Menus Active". I assume only works in "Pro Advanced". I'm using 8.5 Pro, only.

All custom menu work is done either through FIleMAker Pro Advanced or through a plug-in such as SecureFM from New Millennium.

Thank you for your help.

The problem I see here is that All Records can be the Current Found Set.

Seems that for this to work you need to have a relational set (not just a user definable found set)

True, but that would be a rare case with my users. They often preform predefined finds & sorts, and use the "Delete found records" drop down. Just trying to limit the accidental ooops.
