Total of records based on a field

How do I create a Field that will tell me the total of Records there are based on a single field containing certain data.

Example: I have a Field where the user can select Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3. I would like a Layout from another table (Related) that will populate the Total of Level 3's, Level 2's and Level 1's have been reported.
