Genx Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Hi Guys, Here's my situation: HOST -------- | | Internet | -------- Proxy FM Client trying to connect to host via WAN -------- Anyway to connect?
jamesducker Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Sounds like some kind of VPN tunnelling might be called for...
Genx Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Lol, I'm already using a VPN to get access to external sites anyway. I'm pretty sure you can't be on two at once?
jamesducker Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 No, I don't think you (as a client) can be on two VPNs at once - but depending on the router setup you may very well be able to connect to one VPN, then using a machine inside that network connect to another. I'd need to know more about your setup and what you're trying to achieve. Couldn't you find a shorter route? ;-) James
Genx Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 Well here's the thing, I'm at Uni two days a week.. and we have a fairly annoying setup where you have to connect first via a cisco vpn client and then further with the proxy... So it's not really a choice.
