UnExplained Refresh Issue in FM

Hello Everyone,

Coming here because I can't seem to figure out what is causing this. I am working in FM 8.5 Advanced as well as FM 8.5 Pro. Just recently the screen has begun flashing, almost like a extremely slow refresh. I have attached a screen shot of what it looks like, but it would flash to this shot, then immediately flash back to normal. VERY ANNOYING.

I can't explain what would be causing this and hope that someone else might have seen this issue. I have not really installed anything new in the machine. Any Ideas?

PS: If you open the attachment, zoom in a bit and notice that all of the fields, boxes, and objects have a duplicate to the lower right hand.

I also have the same problem. Also for Quicken. I think it may be related to a wireless Microsoft mouse. Quicken had a workaround - lowering the acceleration rate on video card (causes other problems). I just ended the ipoint.exe process in Task Manager. It solves the problem but disables some mouse button features.

My problems were very similar to Brett W's screen shot. Screen refreshing at random especially when switching from layout to browse and back again.

The particular problem file has lots of imported graphic borders and buttons. Another database file I have uses only FM's own buttons and borders tools and it is problem free going back to FM 7 where it was created.

yeah, my problem was more along the lines of the filemaker screen kind of flickering and occasionally filemaker would just all together crash. I was able to track it down to the intellipoint drivers though. also my issue was in Filemaker 6.
