I need to display certain values from a table in a custom order "but" I also only want to display records in that custom order that are related to values in another table. Example:

Table 1

-------

FOIA

CONTRACTS

Table 2

-------

FOIA A

FOIA C

FOIA B

CONTRACTS D

CONTRACTS F

CONTRACTS A

When I put the values for Table 2 into a custom sort order (A C B D F A) using the Values List "use custom values" then I lose the ability to say "display only records from Table 2 that relate to records in Table 1" via the Value List function. I was successfully doing the later by using the Value List 'Use values from field" then "Specify field" then "Include only related values starting from" Table 1. But once I switched to the custom sort order option of the Value List I lost this ability to only display records from Table 2 related to records in Table 1. How can I accomplish both - i.e custom sort the records from Table 2 but only display those related to the value chosen from Table 1.

In other words, if I choose FOIA from Table 1 then I want to see A C B.

If I choose CONTRACTS from Table 1 I want to see D F A .
