March 9, 200718 yr Hi, all! I have a Privilege Set with the option "Disconnect user from FileMaker Server when idle" unchecked (inactive), but users signed into that Privilege Set keep getting logged off. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thank, FM fans!
March 9, 200718 yr Is it only for taht particular Priv set? Have you checked your idle time settings on FM Server?
March 10, 200718 yr Versions of both Pro and Server? And OS? If a client is getting idle time log-off from an account attached to a Privilege Set that is not ticked for this, then there may be a small insect loose here. This is important and is something that we should let FMI know about. it's [possible that there is some other factor causing a loss of connection here, so we need to be very specific. Steven
April 28, 200718 yr Author All clients are getting idle time log-off from an account attached to a Privilege Set that is not ticked for this. The time is random. Sometimes it is every ten minutes, sometimes not at all for a day. Version 7 on different server hardware did the same thing. The client is set up for multiple network applications and only Filemaker databases drop (the other network applications remain okay). Pro Version: 8.5 v2 Server Version: 8.0 v4 Clinet OS: Windows XP Server OS: Windows Server 2003
March 26, 200916 yr Newbies This is happening to users at a client's office, too. In fact, I noted 2 people in the same office (they're consultants paired in teams to work on projects) with the exact hardware (Intel iMacs) running the same OS X (Tiger - 10.4.11) with the same RAM (1 GB). One user (user 1) was being disconnected on idle. The other (user 2) wasn't. Both users have different accounts in the database, but both accounts have the same Privilege Set. And, the privilege set did not have the "Disconnect while idle" option checked. PS - There is another user who is using a MacBook Pro connected to the network via Ethernet cable experiencing the same issue. ANY advice would be helpful. Thanks! --Raf
