When a user selects a printer other than the default printer from the windows print screen, FileMaker prints to the default printer anyway. Has anyone ever seen this error? Has anyone ever resolved it? It's new to me.

I created a simple batch script that changes the default windows printer. Before the user prints, use the send event script step to call it. This seems to work ok. sometimes the first page will go to the printer the user picked and the rest will go to the default printer you picked.

THis is a well known bug on windows with printers with names longer the 30 characters (usually network printers). Good luck getting this fixed! ???

When you do a Print script step (no dialog) it prints to the defualt printer. The easiest solution is to make the user click thru the print dialog. (There are other solutions but require you to run an external script to change the Default Printer.)
