I am trying to make a universal bank register for my clients to be able to balance their checkbook in my database. Is there a template for this anywhere?

Well, I found a free check register...but it is in Filemaker 5 :) I have tried all night to convert it to Filemaker 7 or 8 but it keeps losing script functionality in the "choose accounts" section. Any ideas or can someone please help me in converting it? Thanks in advance. I have attached the file. It is a completely free edition, so if anyone can use it, feel free.

I opened up and converted these files. The scripts & file references have to be tweaked but overall it should be able to be migrated without too much time. It should be a fairly simple migration. You might want to contact the owner of the code and ask permission to migrate their code.

Hello,

I also have these files and have converted them to version 8.5. Indeed I had to adjust the file references. Also you will find that one of the thingd you will need to do is insert a commit record script step after the set field steps in the old scripts. I had to do a few other things too. But am of to work just now so don't have time for a look to see what I did but, they were small.

One thing I would like to do, but my skill knowledge is limited and I don't really know how to proceed is: report various transactions as a percent of a total . ie: grocery purchases as a percent of all grocery purchases.
