I have a layout that has no records created in it and in the status bar it shows "0" in the record field "0" in the found field as expected but, "2" in the total field. Any reason why this might be happening?

You have 2 records, but none in the found count.

Go to the [color:blue]Menu bar and select [color:blue]Records, and then [color:blue]Select Show All Records.
