StudioSuite8 with already imported data matching to quickbooks via Filebooks link

Ok so I have a contacts file exported from now contact and using that tab delimited file I imported the fields into studiosuite8 which is just a filemaker ready made solution for tracking contacts and workflow in (of all things...) a studio.

So next step is to use filebooks to link the quickbooks data to the same database... Here is my problem/concern. How do I make sure the data imported from quickbooks (or exported for that matter) matches the existing contacts within my database?

In importing the tab delimited file from now contact I had to make a column of progressive numbers so that in doing multiple imports I would always match records. Can I use that same "ID_contact_number" field to match from quickbooks? Can you make a field in quickbooks like that or add one? Or can you use a field like address or first name only to match existing records?

I haven't even run the filebooks plug yet so I just want some info before I start fooling around... perhaps somebody out there has done something similar that can save me some time?

Thanks tons!

Jim

when you push a contact to quickbooks (create the record in quickbooks) using the plugin, you are returned a qb record id (listid). Store that in the filemaker record.
