ABCRobstown Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I am preparing a run time demonstraton disk. I want the client to be able to add/delete/edit records, but I want to deny them printing privileges. This was easy to do on the FMP 4 password set up, but in FMP 8 Advanced I can't find how to set it up. Hope this is still possible. Will appreciate any help and thanks.
mr_vodka Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 With FM8 Advanced, you can create custom menu sets. You can remove the print functionality completely from the menu if you wish. You could also script is so that depending on certain criteria such as privilege set or field value, you can load different custom menu sets as well.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 The privilege bit for printing is in the Define Accounts & Privileges section under the Privilege Set option. It pertains only to the particular file where it is located. Steven
