March 1, 200124 yr Newbies does anyone know if CDML tags change when you start using a bound file (a runtime file created in developer)? everything worked in a regular fmp file, and now that i've converted the database to a standalone, i get an error that file "/path/path/path/FMPro" cannot be found. my guess is that the CDML tags need to change, but which ones do i start tweaking? (i did, obviously specify the name of the new database in the tags) would much appreciate any hints!

Now I want to run your runtime solution on my machine. And one of two conditions exist on my machine; (1) I don't have a fake lan setup, (2) I do have a fake lan setup, but the address of my fake lan is not set to tcp/ip 127.0.0.1. How does your solution set the fake lan on my machine so that your solution can reach the desired address? I don't know. I don't have an answer for you, unfortunately. Clearly, with a runtime solution, it is not to be hosted over the web, but to run as a stand-alone. All runtime is is a very limited version of FileMaker designed to allow the presentation of a FileMaker solution on machines which do not have FileMaker. I don't know if it can work in conjunction with a fake-lan. Peace Keith M. Davie
