Is it possible to have a text field slanted, say, 45 degrees? I'm still pretty new to FileMaker and was hoping someone out there could give me a quick 'yes' or 'no' answer before I spend too much time looking for a way to do something that might not be do-able.

No. You can rotate layout objects in 90 degrees increments. How quick is that?
