RoadrunnerRay Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Hi All, can anyone give me the name of a good book on FileMaker scripting?? There are many books about FileMaker but for the most part they do not spend much time on scripting. I am looking for a book that gives basic to advanced examples of FileMaker scripting. Thanks in advance for any thoughts...............Ray
RoadrunnerRay Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 Many Thanks Ocean West, I will order Tim Trimble's book "FileMaker Pro Design & Scripting For Dummies", today. I have a number of the "for dummies" series on the self, they are a good reference to go back to once in awhile................Ray
Baylah Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Look at the series of DVD's by John Mark Osborne. www.databasepros.com There is some very good stuff there. His book "scriptology" is what opened the door of what FMP can do for me. Steve
RoadrunnerRay Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 Hi Steve, many thanks for jogging my memory. A year or two back I had come across his book which at that time was out of publication and looks like it still is. I was unaware that he had created a web site. Looks like he is offering training classes in many aspects of FileMaker. Even though this book is based on an earlier version of FileMaker I am going to order it as I believe it will provide some good insight............Thanks again, Ray
