Greg Hains Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Hi, I have two fields on my screens that act as titles for that page. They are global and as I move to each page with those fields on them they are set to the screen name, and the description of that page - thus allowing me to keep my layouts fairly universal. Anyhow, when I go to these screens and Set Field for the values they are to display, they stay in a mode that appears as those the field has just been entered. I have tried various things to "move" the focus off that field and whilst the cursor moves the field stays in entry mode. Can anybody give me a tip here please. Greg
Lee Smith Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Hi Greg, I can't get my head around what you are asking. Can you post a copy of your file? Lee
Greg Hains Posted June 11, 2007 Author Posted June 11, 2007 Hi Lee. I have fields that I use the Set Field command on to change their values. If I execute this command on its own then the field remains semi-highlighted as if the cursor has not left that field after changing that value. Greg
Lee Smith Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 I usually use the go to Field script step, but the Commit Record will also exit the field. HTH Lee [color:red]p.s. The global field does not have to be on the current layout, and the Set Field does not require the field to be on the current layout. What you can also do, is to have the global field on a Developers Layout, and then use Freeze Window, with the rest of the script on the Current layout, and the user will never see the action to the Global.
Greg Hains Posted June 11, 2007 Author Posted June 11, 2007 Thanks Lee. I'll give that a go. Cheers, Greg
