Newbies Happyhelen Posted June 13, 2007 Newbies Posted June 13, 2007 (edited) How can I locate words in a field and then automate putting in a hyphen between the words so I can use it in a URL. Like New Hartford becomes New-Hartford New York " New-York but Albany becomes Albany Thank you PS the hyphen should only happen with more than one word like District-of-Columbia not on one word like Washington Edited June 13, 2007 by Guest
mr_vodka Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Substitute ( text; " "; "-" ) will turn all single spaces into a hyphen. However, you may want to read this thread on finds with hyphens. http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/169007
