adding a hyphen between words

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

How can I locate words in a field and then automate putting in a hyphen between the words so I can use it in a URL.

Like

New Hartford becomes New-Hartford

New York " New-York

but

Albany becomes Albany

Thank you

PS the hyphen should only happen with more than one word

like District-of-Columbia not on one word like Washington

Substitute ( text; " "; "-" ) will turn all single spaces into a hyphen. However, you may want to read this thread on finds with hyphens.

Why don't you try the GetAsURLEncoded() function.
