Jarvis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 In researching the help files for information about password protection, I came across the following statement: "Your password may expire at a regular intervals." I am curious about how to do this. How do you go about attaching time constraints to passwords? Can this be done within the application or does this require some kind of external plug in? Thanks for any insight, Jarvis
mr_vodka Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Under the Accounts and Privilege, when you are creating a Privilege, there is an option to allow use to modify their own password and to exprie it after a set number of days.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 You may also provide for this by External Server authentication. Steven
CraigD71 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Hi there. I'm using an old version of FileMaker - (ver 5.5). I take it this function of expiring passwords is only available in more recent versions?
Vaughan Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Correct: access privileges were significantly enhanced in FMP 7 and later versions.
