Newbies rugsunshine Posted June 26, 2001 Newbies Posted June 26, 2001 I've got a wierd problem with this too. I've got a drop down search and text search on the site www.techcentral.ie/techdirectory If I do two drop down searches in row I get the 'Connection reset by peer' error. Any ideas anyone? dspires Posted June 26, 2001 Posted June 26, 2001 Paul, Correct the <BASE HREF...> on your pages. The first one is <BASE HREF="http://www.techcentral.ie/"> The one on the next search is <BASE HREF="http://www.techcentral.ie/tcsearch/">
Newbies rugsunshine Posted June 26, 2001 Newbies Posted June 26, 2001 I'm not sure what you mean. tcsearch just runs a different site-wide search that has nothing to do with FileMaker. The problem I'm having is with the http://www.techcentral.ie/techdirectory part of the site, where if you do two drop-down menu searches (at the bottom of the page) in a row you get a connection reset by peer. If you refresh the page then the results appear as normal. This only seems to affect Internet Explorer on the PC (on the MAC it's cool and on Netscape it works, although I had to limit it to returning 5 results.)
Anatoli Posted June 27, 2001 Posted June 27, 2001 Funny, I've searched for brand name Apple and system returned page where I click "Synstar Computer Services International". No Apple on their page...
Newbies rugsunshine Posted June 29, 2001 Newbies Posted June 29, 2001 Found my Problem. Had changed the form method to 'get' while developing to see form results via URL and forgot to change it back to 'post'. Thanks to all. See what you mean about Apple. I'll have to give the data entry guys hell. I think the guys who came up actualy sell MACs, and asked for Apple as thier keyword, which isn't based on the text on the profile page.
