Is there a way to have a button take you to a specified layout but then also to a certain tab on that layout?

You can attach an object to the specific tab panel ( select the specific tab and View > Object Info). Type a name at the top. Then use script with following steps:

Go to Layout [ that layout ]

Go to Object [ "that name" ]

You can name just about anything as an object. 8.5 only (or greater, smile). :wink2:
