Portal Relationship

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've attached pictures from the progress in my portal. I've been having problems since FM 8. Whenever I create a new record in the portal, it sort of commits and creates another record instead of staying in the same record. It's really hard to explain, but if you look at the pictures I've attached, you'll see what I mean. I hope someone can clarify why this is happening please?

Thanks

Robin

Are you talking about what looks like an empty row created after you enter data into a new row? If so, this is normal if you have 'Allow creation of record' on.

Yes, that's correct, is there a way for me to first finish a whole records (all the line items) before it commits and creates the record. Or make the record but stay in there (without disapearing)?

Thanks

Robin

Personally, I dont have 'Allow creation of record' on for my portal relationships. You can script a new record creation instead.

Thanks, that would probably be a solution. Can you maybe tell me what would be a good script to run (create new record, go back to the layout and place the cursor in the first field), this doesn't really seem to work. It would be nice if you could post an example.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm sorry, my bad. I made a mistake. I works perfect with a script.

Thanks

Robin
