I need to talk to whoever heads up the jam session so I can find out what instruments to bring and which are usually there, to share....

I don't know that anyone really "heads" the jam session. Some company will typically sponsor it (although in Phoenix 2 years ago we had to take up a collection). Last year in Orlando a room was provided along with a PA, drums, bass, piano, and one or two guitars. A few folks brought their own guitar, flute, sax or whatever. Hope that helps.
