Does anyone know of a way to save a FMP 7 file to something that FMP 5 would be able to read? I apologize for the idiocy of this question, but I hav e to try.

There is no backwards compatibility. You would have to export the data from v7 (text) and then import the file into v5.

I think I'll just save as a spreadsheet for those less fortunate FMP5 users.
