Trigger a script from field

I want to have certain fields populate when I exit a another field is filled, it can't be done through a lookup. I just need to trigger a script on exit of a field, can this be done?

If you want to trigger a script upon exiting a field, you will have to use an event trigger plugin.

You'll find that it might be able to be done with an auto-enter (as opposed to a lookup) without the need for a script.
