pop-up reminders...

Featured Replies

Hi,

Are there any plug-ins/scripts for pop-up reminders that I can apply across a module related to due dates, follow-ups, etc.?

Basically, I would like to be able to "set" reminders on a record by date to alert me when it is a week out.

Thanks.

Yes, possibly. But I think it's not really necessary. Because when would you want it to do this? First thing in the morning? If so, just use a script that runs when the file opens (File Options). Otherwise when? If it comes up when it's not convenient to do anything about it, then what?

It seems to me that it's more reasonable to have a script that runs which Finds all records that are due for either a particular action, or for various actions. And it should be obvious and easy to use.

That being said, take a look at the free ZippScript plug-in, for scheduling scripts.

Also, this chart comparing various event plug-ins:

There are also more plug-ins dedicated to dialogs, but I don't know if they have built-in scheduling.

Hi,

Ok so I have a question Is there a way to use Outlook to set reminders from a date field?

Can you help me do this?

Thank you,
