October 10, 200124 yr I suggest refraining from usage of High-ISO (usually 8-bit characters) in all names and references. It always has string attached. It works in one instance and doesn’t in other. FM has several internal engines at work and I suspect the same goes for WebCompanion. So what works OK in one situation, like in sorting 8-bit data doesn’t work in value lists and text operations. That is the legacy from "not thinking outside of USA market" syndrome. I bet FileMaker will not improve on this one (I am reporting this for 2 years) and we must wait for Unicode FileMaker and keep our fingers crossed it will be OK. Strange thing is that FM Inc. never made serious attempt to work closely with foreigners and Czech or Russian programmers. Microsoft is doing this and AFAIK hired several hundreds of good ones.
