Hi,

My question today is about ethics (and Filemaker online so I posted here)

This is the situation:

Some time ago I found that there is a very famous site running Filemaker on the web that has a kind of common security issue. Basically, anyone could see this sites customer's credit cards, email addresses, etc.

When I saw this I went ahead and emailed the owner of the site, the reply I got was something like "... I have not had any problems so far so I think crackers do not know Filemaker..."

So my question is: What would you do?

Do I post the site on this forum to put some pressure on this person?

Is there any site that I could sunmit this to?

I would like to avoid at least two things.

1- For people to think that a Filemaker powered site is not safe.

2- For people who bought from that site, to have their private data so unprotected.

Ok, I hope I'm clear and look forward to reading your comments.
